Calvary Chapel has been formed as a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our ultimate desire is to know Christ and be conformed to His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are not a denominational church, nor are we opposed to denominations as such, only to their over-emphasis of the doctrinal differences. We believe the only true basis of Christian fellowship is Christ’s Agape love, which is greater than any differences we possess and without which we have no right to claim ourselves Christians.

  1. We believe that there is One Living and True GOD, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; that this triune God created all, upholds all, and governs all things.
  2. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God and inerrant in the original writings and that it supersedes any earthly law contrary to its scripture. We at Calvary Chapel Crossfields church use the New King James version, which has been approved by many denominations and is as close to the original languages as much as possible.
  3. We believe in the person of Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings, His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people and personal, visible return to earth.
  4. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life. The Holy Spirit is an abiding helper, teacher, and guide.
  5. We believe in the exercise of all Biblical gifts of the Holy Spirit in accordance to Scripture.
  6. We believe that all of mankind is sinful by nature and can not merit nor deserve salvation, but those who repent and call upon the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved.  Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed Blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, being fully God and fully man.
  7. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ committed two observances to the church: full immersion baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
  8. We believe in the Pre-Tribulation Rapture of the Church where all believers will meet the Lord in the air and be taken out of this world prior to the Tribulation that will come upon the earth.
  9. We believe in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, which is His personal, visible return to earth and the establishment of His millennial kingdom, in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment and eternal blessing of the righteous and endless suffering of the wicked.
  10. We believe in a literal Heaven and a literal Hell and that all those who place their faith, hope and trust in Jesus Christ will spend eternity in Heaven with the Lord, while those who reject Jesus’ free gift of salvation will spend eternity separated from the Lord.
