Why do we do it?

We are commanded by the Lord – Matthew 28:19

To Identify with Christ’s death burial and resurrection – Romans 6:3

We want to bury the old life, also known as the old man and put on a new resurrected life – Romans 6:6

It is illustrative of regeneration and washing away of our sins when we trust in Jesus as our Lord and Savior – Titus 3:5

It is an outward expression of the inward heart
